Dying Light is a 2015 thriller and horror video game put together by Polish Video game creator Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Linux and Microsoft Windows. The game is much oriented around an undercover mission sent to infiltrate a no go zone in a city known as Harran. More so, the game features an open-world, ragtag metropolis swamped by a terrifying zombie crowd, with a dynamic day full of scenes of chaos and mayhem — also experienced frequently during the night.
The game was scheduled to be released in 2014, though it postponed until 2015. For the first time after the game was finally released, some array of rave reviews particularly on graphics, combat, multiplayer experience, navigation and day and night cycles were highly praised. Although some of the staunch gamers and critics pointed out, they experienced some hard times keeping up with the story difficulty. Some issues regarding small technical hitches were also reported. On the other hand, the game ranked the best-selling title in January 2015 and surprisingly also broke the record of first month sales, which had been initially set by new survivor horror game: Intellectual Property.
In the game, players are expected to defend themselves and stay alive from any kind of massive zombie attacks. Thus, players are provided some array of more than 100 weapons to use in combat. Each weapon has its specific use, and different kind of ways it can be used to slow or kill any threatening zombie. For instance, during a zombie encounter, a player can use weapons for distraction and evasive traps to drastically lower their numbers. Likewise, the player has the opportunity to save random survivors who found themselves trapped in the mix and scavenge for supplies in order to send back to their safe zones. At night, this is the tough moment and the moment to be extra vigilant, as the zombies are usually in full swing and have dreadful abilities to finish all of their enemies in other words, humans.
Online multiplayer feature of up to 4 players, and an asymmetrical multiplayers feature is also available in the game. Furthermore, there is a mode which allows you to become a zombie villain which players can use to devour the good guys. Even more so, the game is meant for both vintage and new gamers, and anybody who thinks can handle some intense combat with some dread zombies. All the same, enjoy the game!
