Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition earns its “M” for mature rating with the blood, violence, sex and drug use that could be expected working as an undercover cop in the nasty underside of Hong Kong. The hand to hand combat of martial arts can and will be brutal at times as well as the role you have to play as undercover cop. This is key, play your role incorrectly and your cover will be blown. Wei Shen combat style benefits as much from being defensive as offensive, so you don’t always have to charge in with fists blazing as it were. Not to worry, though, you will have plenty of counterattacks and finishing moves to give you all the fighting action you need. There is no shortage of side content, either. Whether it is street racing, gambling on a cock fight or blowing off some time singing karaoke. Sleeping Dogs has already gone ahead and included all the post releases from the original, but there is still two downloadable side missions, if you simply can’t get enough.

IGN, Imagine Games Network gave it a good solid rating of 8.5, Metacritic came in at an 81 and Gamspot rated it at 8 of 10. The general consensus being this is not a bad place for your gaming budget. So if you enjoy single player action, this will be an excellent choice for your next buy.
